Ten students from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) consisting of Abdullah Faqih (Biomedical Engineering), Muhammad Hilmi Asyrofi (Informatics), Immanuel Deo, I Made Dwi (Electrical Power Engineering), Mahardhika Adjie (Master of Electrical Power Engineering), Shalahuddin Al Ayyubi, Gilbert Jonatan, Qurrota Choir, Alif Ilham, and Davin Herell (Electrical Engineering) was selected as a participant in the Electrical Engineering Camp (EE Camp) organized by the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Daejon, South Korea (15-17 November 2018).
EE Camp was attended by 91 undergraduate and graduate students in electrical engineering and related majors who successfully passed a selection process based on academic and personal achievements. The 91 students came from six countries: Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and China.
EE Camp is an annual event organized by the KAIST Electrical Engineering Department (KAIST EE) aimed at introducing KAIST EE to selected students who are interested in continuing their studies specifically in the department. EE Camp organizes several activities for participants, namely laboratory and campus tours, an introduction to the graduate program and its application procedures, information about scholarships, excursions to technology research companies in Daejon, and the opportunity to meet with Professors from various laboratories at KAIST EE to discuss the research conducted and the laboratories they lead. In addition, EE Camp also provides an opportunity for participants to meet with students from their home countries to discuss campus life, research activities carried out, the graduate program admission process, and various other things at KAIST.
By participating in the EE Camp, the ten students hope to be able to continue their studies at KAIST and can provide information regarding the admission process, scholarships and selection of the KAIST EE postgraduate program to their friends.
