STEI-ITB Team Sweeps Every Award at the 2019 Huawei ICT Competition National Final Round in Yogyakarta

The STEI-ITB team won first place in two categories in the Huawei ICT Competition 2019 National Final Round, namely the network and cloud categories. In addition, the title of Best Huawei ICT Academy 2019 was also assigned to the Huawei ICT Academy which is located in the Lab. Telematics STEI ITB which has been inaugurated since 2011.

The first team to win first place in the network category consisted of 3 students and 1 instructor, namely: Samuel Christian Coe (Electrical Engineering), Wilson Rustiandy (Telecommunications Engineering), Afif Tri Farhan (Telecommunications Engineering), and Rifqy Hakimi, ST, MT (STEI lecturer ITB). UGM won second place and Telkom University won third place. This ITB network team maintains the champion title in the same category at the 2018 Huawei ICT Competition.

Meanwhile for the cloud category, the first place winner was also won by the STEI ITB team, which consisted of 3 Telecommunication Engineering students (Bagas Purwa Sentika, Pambudi Adhiluhung Title, and Muhammad Nawaffarras Mahendika) and 1 instructor (Abdul Latif, ST, MT).

The Huawei ICT Competition 2019 National Final Round was held on November 27-28 2019 at UGM, Yogyakarta. This competition is held in two categories, namely network and cloud, and is participated by eight leading universities in Indonesia that have become Huawei partners in the Huawei ICT Academy, including: ITB, UI, UGM, ITS, UNPAD, Telkom University, UNDIP and Multimedia Nusantara University.

The two ITB teams who won, namely the network and cloud team will later represent Indonesia together with the UGM (network) team at the Huawei ICT Competition 2019-2020 Regional Final-Southern Pacific which is planned to be held in the Philippines in March 2020 to compete for tickets to Huawei ICT Competition 2019-2020 Global Final in China in May 2020.
