The program at STEI ITB began with a presentation session featuring STEI faculty members: Dr. Ir. Kevin Marojahan Banjar Nahor, S.T., M.T.; Dr. Bryan Denov, S.T., M.T.; and Dr.Eng. Ir. Arwindra Rizqiawan, S.T., M.T. During the session, Dr. Bryan Denov, S.T., M.T., presented on the implementation of renewable energy technologies for disaster response and community recovery. He outlined STEI ITB’s commitment and practical contributions through the deployment of a 3 kWh Solar Power Plant (PLTS) system installed in the flood-affected area of Batu Busuak, Padang City, West Sumatra. The system was designed as a rapid-response solution capable of providing independent electricity for lighting, operating water pumps, and charging communication devices in temporary shelters, while simultaneously promoting community energy resilience in the post-disaster period. Such technological ideas and approaches reflect how STEI ITB’s research and innovation are translated into appropriate, context-driven technological responses in disaster management and community empowerment.

Following the presentation session, the delegation continued with visits to the Conversion Laboratory and the Systems Laboratory at STEI ITB. During the visit, participants received direct explanations regarding the facilities, research activities, and technological developments carried out to support energy efficiency, renewable energy integration, and the strengthening of power systems.

This visit served as a strategic opportunity to introduce STEI ITB’s research and innovation capacity in the energy sector to international stakeholders, while also opening avenues for future academic collaboration, research partnerships, and technological development.
