STEI ITB Welcomes a Visit from Queensland University of Technology

Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the Bandung Institute of Technology (STEI ITB) received an official visit from a delegation from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. The meeting, which took place in the Labtek 8 Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration in the Double Degree program between the two institutions.

The visit was attended by the Heads of Study Programs, the Vice Deans for Academic Affairs, and the Vice Dean for Human Resources at STEI ITB. During the meeting, both parties discussed the mechanisms and scheme of the Double Degree program, which allows students to earn degrees from both universities simultaneously, at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

The discussion covered several technical and academic aspects, including course equivalencies, graduation requirements, study duration, and funding schemes for program participants. Queensland University of Technology itself is known as a leading research university in Australia with excellence in technology, applied science, and digital innovation—aligning with the scientific focus of STEI ITB.

STEI ITB hopes that the agreement regarding the Double Degree program can be immediately followed up with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and real implementation in the coming academic year, as a concrete step in expanding access to international standard education for ITB academics.
