STEI ITB Welcomes Delegation from JICA and the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia, Strengthening Collaboration

**Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id –** The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Institut Teknologi Bandung, welcomed an official joint delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (DTE-FTUI), on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The visit, held in the STEI ITB Meeting Room, 2nd Floor of Labtek VIII Building, ITB Ganesa Campus, Bandung, marked an important step in expanding international academic collaboration networks, particularly in the field of cybersecurity.

STEI ITB, as the host, was represented by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tutun Juhana, S.T., M.T., IPU., accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. techn. M. Zuhri Catur Candra, S.T., M.T.; the Vice Dean for Resources, Dr. Eng. Ir. Arwindra Rizqiawan, S.T., M.T.; and several related Study Program Heads.

This meeting is expected to mark the beginning of a more formal and structured collaboration among the three parties. The areas explored include joint curriculum development, academic and student exchanges, collaborative research, and the organization of training and capacity-building programs in cybersecurity—both for academic purposes and to strengthen the national cyber ecosystem.

The existing collaboration between DTE-FTUI and JICA in cybersecurity serves as a strong foundation for expanding collaboration with new partners. STEI ITB, with its research and higher education expertise in electrical engineering and informatics, is seen as an ideal strategic partner.
