School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics is a merger of the two historical department in ITB : Electrical Department that was established since 1947, and Informatics Department that was established since 1982.

Now, in line with the times, STEI has developed into a school with six undergraduate study programs, four master's study programs, and one doctoral program.
