STEI ITB Holds ICEEI 2015 in Bali
BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – As if never stopping in being a pioneer in various fields of science and technology, ITB once again held an international conference covering various matters related to the field of electrotechnics. International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information (ICEEI) 2015 held for two days, namely on Monday and Tuesday (10-11/08/15). The event, held by the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (STEI) ITB, is a form of collaboration with the Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Universitas Kebangsaan Malaysia UKM. The activity aims to provide a forum for researchers, scientists, and technocrats from around the world to exchange ideas and discuss the latest issues and progress in all aspects related to electrical engineering and informatics. As an international conference, ICEEI 2015 invited 6 experienced speakers from all over the world.
The 6 speakers who attended this conference were Dr. Muhammad Reza (Electrical Engineering ITB 1997), Prof. Bambang Riyanto Trilaksono (Electrical Engineering ITB 1986), Prof. Stanislaw Gubanski (Chalmers University of Technology Göteberg), Prof. Masayuki Hikita (Nagoya University Japan), Prof. Mahamod Ismail (National University of Malaysia), Prof. Guan-Juan Zhang (Xi’an Jiaotong Technology University China). Each speaker discussed topics related to basic knowledge and practical applications of electrical engineering and informatics.
The conference also included a series of events to publish related journals. The journals eligible for publication were the winners of the previously held scientific paper competitions. Topics covered in the competitions included electrical power engineering, telecommunications, information engineering, computer engineering, biomedical engineering, control engineering, software and database engineering, electronics, and informatics.
The event, held in the Legian area of Bali, also included parallel sessions. The first day of ICEEI 2015 featured three speakers (Prof. Bambang, Dr. Muhammad Reza, and Prof. Mahamod). After opening on Monday morning, the event concluded on Tuesday afternoon.
