Five ITB Telecommunication Engineering Students Among the Top 10 in the HCNA Certification
In 2015, PT Huawei Tech Investment demonstrated its commitment to building an innovation center in Indonesia by collaborating with the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kemkominfo), PT Telkom and PT Telkomsel to advance education in Indonesia by educating students from various universities in Indonesia with various trainings from PT Huawei.
On May 17-23, 2015, at the National ICT Center (Pustiknas) in Ciputat, Huawei held a training program focused on the wireless sector, commonly known as the Huawei Certified Network Associate (HCNA) training, which is equivalent to the Indonesian National Work Competency Standard (SKKNI). The training involved 125 students from five state universities in Indonesia, namely ITB, Telkom University, UGM, Unhas, and ITDEL. PT Huawei enticed the training participants with a Telkomsel internship program for the ten best participants from this training.

To participate in the HCNA training program, students must undergo a rigorous selection process, including administrative selection and interviews. Twenty-nine ITB students were selected to participate in the program. After taking the certification test, five ITB students were selected as the top ten: Aditya Gianto, Ristanti Fitri Ramadanti, Devi Tiarani Putri, Sinta Gratsia, and Anak Agung Goldha. Then, those selected to get the opportunity to join the Telkomsel internship program (Telkomsel-Indonesia and Huawei-China) in September, based on Huawei's policy, are Aditya Gianto, Ristanti Fitri Ramadanti, and Devi Tiarani Putri.
“This certification program is very useful because it gives us insight and the results of this certification can support us in getting a job later." said Putri, one of the ITB Telecommunication Engineering students who participated in the training program.
