Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Visits SEEI ITB, Reviews Innovative Research Products

Bandung, stei,itb.ac.id On 21 December 2024, the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (SEEI) of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) received a special visit from the Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. This visit was part of the Minister’s series of activities at ITB, following his role as the keynote speaker at the National Seminar themed “Optimizing the Utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Public Works Infrastructure Development.” The seminar was held at ITB’s West Hall, featuring a keynote speech entitled “National Policy for the Utilization of AI in the Public Sector.” . .

After delivering the keynote speech, the Minister took the time to visit SEEI. During this visit, he was welcomed directly by the Dean of SEEI ITB, Dr. Tutun Juhana, along with heads of laboratories and lecturers. The tour aimed to introduce various innovative research products developed across SEEI laboratories, covering fields such as information technology, communication, and artificial intelligence. ..

The Minister’s presence is expected to strengthen synergy between SEEI and the government in the development of research-based technologies, particularly in supporting the utilization of AI for national development. The visit also serves as recognition of SEEI’s strategic role in making tangible contributions to technological advancement in Indonesia.
