Ministry of Defense Working Visit to ITB
Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto visited the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) on Wednesday (3/11) to exchange ideas with defense technology experts regarding contributions that can be made to the advancement of national defense.
Taking place at the Center of Research and Community Services (CRCS) Building of ITB, in addition to the discussion agenda with the Chancellor, Leaders, and Researchers at ITB, there was also an agenda for signing a cooperation agreement (MoU) between the Indonesian Ministry of Defense and ITB.
The joint agreement was signed by Defense Minister Prabowo and ITB Rector Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah. The collaboration involves conducting educational activities, research, and developing science and technology to support national defense.
During the meeting, Defense Minister Prabowo emphasized the Ministry of Defense's full support for the efforts and innovations of ITB technologists through the signing of a joint agreement between the Ministry of Defense and ITB.
On that occasion, Defense Minister Prabowo also had the opportunity to see several research and development results carried out by ITB, including AESA Radar and Passive Radar which are the results of joint research and development with the Ministry of Defense's Research and Development Agency.
Also present as a delegate was Prof. Suhono Harso Supangkat, who is a researcher in the field of defense, smart cities, and a lecturer from the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics ITB.
Meanwhile, Passive Radar is the result of research by Dr. Joko Suryana's team in collaboration with the Defense Research and Development Agency. Dr. Joko Suryana is also a lecturer at the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at ITB.
The delegation from the Ministry of Defense who came included the Head of the Research and Development Agency of the Ministry of Defense, Air Marshal Julexi Tambayong, Deputy Chancellor I for Academic and Student Affairs of the Indonesian Defense University, Major General Jonni Mahroza, Head of the Research and Development Center for Air Marshal Bambang Ismiyadi, Dean of the Military Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the Indonesian Defense University - Young Main Advisor IV/c Ence Darmo, Decree of the Minister of Defense for Defense Planning, Meireza Endipat Wijaya, and Decree of the Minister of Defense for Defense Engineering, Sabam Rajagukguk.
