Team ITB Wins Two Titles in Huawei ICT Competition National Level 2021 Indonesia
A team from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) won two championship titles in the 2021 Huawei ICT Competition National Level Indonesia.
In this competition, the ITB team won first place in the Cloud category and third place in the Network category. ITB's representatives were from the Telecommunications study program, School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics. The competition, held online again due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was held from October 27-29, 2021.
The Cloud Team consists of Fikri Ali Setiawan (18118023), Alberth Christadi (18118034), and Mochammad Ronny Ardianto (18118034). Abdul Latif, ST., MT, served as instructor. Meanwhile, the Network Team consists of Farisan Safrial Nafis, Muhammad Al Faqih, and Muhammad Alif Endrizal. Abdul Latif, ST., MT, served as instructor.
The Network Team consists of Farisan Safrial Nafis (18118002), Muhammad Al Faqih (18119029), and Muhamad Alif Endrizal (18119031). Rifqy Hakimi, ST., MT, served as instructor.
Before competing in the Huawei ICT Competition Indonesia, the team was first screened from 66 ITB students who registered. Prospective team members had to take a campus-level exam and interview to qualify for this national competition.
This ICT competition involves troubleshooting, configuring, and implementing solutions on Huawei networking devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. The most accurate solution and implementation will receive the highest score.
The 2021 ICT Competition is part of Huawei Indonesia's program to develop 100,000 Indonesian digital talents over the next five years. This ICT competition is crucial for accelerating and building an ecosystem for talent growth in the latest digital technologies and for building the ICT industry ecosystem in Indonesia.
The Huawei ICT Competition was attended by 53 teams from 24 universities and 1,164 Indonesian students have participated in Huawei's annual ICT competition for the past four years.
