EE Days 2017 Addresses the Challenges of the Professional World with the Excellence of ITB Graduates
BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – The end of teaching and learning activities at ITB was closed with a beneficial activity, especially for students of the Electrical Engineering study program. Works related to electrical engineering science were displayed on Monday-Wednesday (22-24/05/17) at the East Hall. This activity represents the international reputation and ABET accreditation in engineering that has been held for this study program. At least 119 students with 39 research topics, graduate students, academics of STEI and ITB in general, as well as competition participants from kindergarten to high school levels participated in this activity. In addition, students from other universities and high school students from Greater Bandung participated. The series of EE (Electrical Engineering) Days activities included an exhibition and demonstration of ITB Electrical Engineering final project work, an IoT workshop (.), LKTI finals, and robotics competitions.
This event showcased the latest research and development projects from ITB Electrical Engineering students' final projects, covering both control and monitoring. The works featured varied titles, ranging from "Small-Scale Induction Furnace (2-3 Kg) with Temperature Control" to "Control Performance Monitoring Distillation System”. Based on evaluation and progressive forms, this activity increasingly combines integration in academic aspects.
The seminar was also attended by speakers Dr. Ir. Ismail MT, (Director General of SDPPI, Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia), Fa Brian Ganda P (Chief Innovation Officer Arkana, Amoeba Telkom Indonesia), Joegianto (Bussines Development Polytron) with the topic “IOT: Smart way for better life". The Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI) finals covered the technology category at the high school level across Indonesia with the theme "IoT-Based Technological Innovation." The event also held a Robotics Competition for elementary and high school students across West Java, with competition categories including RC Robot Soccer, Creative and Innovative Robot, Firefighting Robot, Autonomous Sumo Robot, Simple Machine Robot, and Fast Robot Assembly.
EE Days itself is a space for final-year students in the Electrical Engineering Study Program to face a final project evaluation in front of examiners from lecturers and professionals. This evaluation examines the problem-solving process, design, and implementation of an engineering problem in the form of a final project topic. As a form of appreciation, this activity serves as a venue for the STEI-Polytron award ceremony. Best Engineering Design Award, STEI-Polytron Best Engineering Research Award, and STEI Best Marketing Award.
