Prospective STEI Graduates, “Characterized and Competent”
The STEI ITB graduates' thanksgiving is a routine event usually held before ITB graduation. At the thanksgiving event held this afternoon (26/10/2011) in the STEI Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, the graduates are usually invited to receive congratulations from the Dean, the heads of study programs and STEI lecturers for their success in pursuing their education for approximately 4 years at STEI. Not only prospective graduates of the Bachelor's Program were present, but also from the Master's and Doctoral Programs also enlivened this event.
The event, which lasted for approximately two hours, was filled with farewells and meaningful messages from the heads of study programs and the dean. Although they will be alumni, these prospective graduates are expected to continue working and contributing to society, not to become "something" immediately, but to remain humble and continue to deepen the knowledge they have gained, as stated by one of the heads of study programs. Information was also provided regarding the results of an exit survey conducted by STEI for its prospective graduates. This survey is expected to provide positive input for the institution, especially STEI, in providing better services in various aspects.
In closing, the Dean of STEI Prof. Dr. Suwarno delivered an important message for the prospective graduates, namely that these prospective graduates are expected to be people of character in the sense of having a good work ethic, discipline, honesty and contribution and become people who are also competent and professional in the fields they are involved in. For information, this year the total number of prospective graduates who will graduate on October 28-29, 2011 is 199 students from undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees.
