Two STEI students contributed to ITB winning the overall championship at the Kompetisi Nasional Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (KNMIPA) 2021. The competition was held by the National Achievement Center of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Pusprenas Kemendikbud Ristek). This is was a competition for mathematics and national science level for higher education level.
The selection is done online, considering the pandemic situation that has not subsided. Even so, participants are required to turn on the camera during the selection process to reduce the possibility of cheating.
All participants were first selected from the tertiary level since February 2021, then filtered to the regional level until they ended up at the national level.
Two students from STEI who won medals at the 2021 KNMIPA event include:
- Kinantan Arya Bagaspati (13519044 – S1 Informatics Engineering 2019) – Gold Medal in Mathematics
- Christopher Chandra (18320033 – S1 Biomedical Engineering 2020) – Gold Medal in Biology
The entire STEI ITB academic community congratulates the 2021 KNMIPA medalists. Hopefully, this achievement can inspire the STEI ITB academic community to help make our alma mater proud.
