Joyful Welcome for the Battery-Powered Tram Trial in Solo: Students of SD Muhammadiyah 2 Greet with “Sugeng Rawuh”
Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – On Wednesday at 14:00, a joyful moment enlivened the Gladak Roundabout in Solo when students of SD Muhammadiyah 2 Solo welcomed the trial of an innovative battery-powered tram. With great enthusiasm, the students waved circular posters reading “Sugeng Rawuh ing Solo,” adding to the festive atmosphere amid the realization of smart and environmentally friendly transportation technology.
The battery-powered tram trial is part of a collaboration between the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and PT Industri Kereta Api (PT INKA), which had previously been tested in mixed-traffic conditions in Solo [ITB–PT INKA Collaboration Realizes Smart and Environmentally Friendly Transportation Through Battery-Powered Autonomous Tram Trials in Mixed Traffic in Solo]. The tram symbolizes a transformation toward more efficient, sustainable urban transportation integrated within the smart city concept.
