In order to commemorate and enliven the National Education Day on May 2, 2011, the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Bandung Institute of Technology (STEI – ITB) will hold an exhibition of the results of STEI student work activities with the theme: “STEI Students Innovation Expo”, this is a form of appreciation for the achievements that have been achieved by students and motivate students to be able to develop their potential. The exhibition was held on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 08.00 – 16.00 WIB at the East Campus Center of ITB. This kind of exhibition is the first to be held by STEI-ITB.

Several works by STEI-ITB students who have won awards in various championship activities both at national and international levels will be present at this exhibition, including:

1. Oasis Team and Putra Ganesh (Finalist LSI Design Contest 2011, Okinawa Japan)
2. Magnacorp Team (Finalist "APEX Global Business IT Case Challenge 2011", Singapore),
3. PALAPA HME ITB Team (3rd Place of IEEE President's Change The World Competition, USA)
4. VEDA Team (1st Place in Game Development Category - Gemastik II 2009 ICT Student Exhibition)
5. Cikal Nusantara Team (Top 5 Shell Eco Marathon Asia 2010 and Nominated for Best Design Award Shell Eco Marathon Asia 2010)
6. Electronic Recipe Team (Indonesia ICT Award 2010 for the outstanding achiever as a Special Mention Winner in the Category of a-Government)
7. Lightning Princess Team (1st Place in the Electrical Engineering Award HME ITB 17 December 2009 category Electronics Entertainment for Culture Development)
8. ASA Team (1st and 2nd Place ITB Legged Robot: Zarqun and Yaqut, at the Trinity Fire Fighting Robot Contest 2011, Trinity College, USA)
9. Lambda Radio Team, LPIK ITB (Finalist of the SOI Asia 2010-2011 “Business Plan” contest)
10. Electron Legacy Team, Finalist of the Indonesian Rocket Payload Contest (KOMURINDO 2011)

This exhibition will be opened by Prof. Akhmaloka, Ph.D (Rector of ITB) and will be attended by Ir. Yani Panigoro, MM, as Chairman of the Board of Trustees (MWA)-ITB and commissioner of PT. Medco Indonesia Tbk. At the event, STEI-ITB will give awards to outstanding students of STEI-ITB 2011 and the winners.

STEI-ITB invited several schools in Bandung, including high schools (SMA/SMK), junior high schools (SMP), and universities. We also invited ITB stakeholders, the Electrical Engineering Forum, the Informatics Forum, several alumni, and several relevant ITB officials. Approximately 500 invited guests and students will attend the exhibition.

This activity is part of the STEI-ITB program which is focused on supporting the education sector, as well as triggering/motivating the younger generation as the nation's successors and the nation's hope with the hope that the younger generation will have knowledge and skills that are in accordance with the needs of the times.
