STEI ITB Hosts German Delegation to Discuss Potential TVET Collaboration in E-Mobility

Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id — The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at Institut Teknologi Bandung (STEI ITB) hosted a visit from a German delegation conducting a Fact-Finding Mission regarding the development of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in the field of e-mobility on Tuesday (August 11, 2026) at the ITB Bandung campus. The visit was part of an effort to explore potential cooperation in education and training between Germany and Indonesia.

The delegation was received by Dr. Eng. Arwindra Rizqiawan, alongside Prof. Dr. Ir. Joko Siswanto, M.PA., IPU. from FTI ITB, Prof. Yusep Rosmansyah, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., and Dr. Ir. Agus Purwadi, M.T. from STEI ITB. The meeting took place in an atmosphere of discussion and exchange of views regarding developments and human resource needs in the field of e-mobility.

During the visit, both parties discussed various opportunities for developing education and training initiatives to support the growth of the e-mobility sector. This fact-finding mission aims to map out needs and potential areas of collaboration with various stakeholders in Indonesia, serving as an initial step toward the possible development of a long-term TVET partnership.

Through this meeting, it is hoped that STEI ITB and the German delegation (TVET institution) can open up opportunities for further collaboration, particularly in the development of competencies, education, and training aligned with industry needs and the advancement of e-mobility technology in Indonesia.
