STEI ITB and The University of Queensland Discuss Collaboration Opportunities for a Double Degree Program

Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id —The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (STEI) of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) received a visit from The University of Queensland on Thursday, April 23, 2026. The meeting, which took place in the STEI ITB Meeting Room, Labtek VIII, 2nd Floor, aimed to discuss opportunities for academic collaboration, especially the double degree program.

This visit was part of the two institutions' efforts to explore higher education collaboration aimed at strengthening academic quality and enhancing graduates' international competitiveness. During the meeting, the two parties discussed a dual degree program scheme that would allow students to study at STEI ITB and The University of Queensland under a mutually agreed-upon curriculum.

The discussion covered curriculum aspects, student selection mechanisms, credit system alignment, and potential fields of study that could be integrated into a double degree scheme. The technical steps required to realize the collaboration, including administrative steps and academic quality assurance, were also discussed.

Through this meeting, STEI ITB and The University of Queensland hope to open opportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration and expand student access to international academic experiences. The results of the discussion will form the basis for follow-up actions by both institutions in formulating more concrete forms of cooperation going forward.
