STEI ITB and PT Siemens Indonesia Establish Cooperation on the Use of PSS®SINCAL Software
Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the Bandung Institute of Technology (STEI ITB) has established a partnership with PT Siemens Indonesia – Grid Software through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement for the use of PSS®SINCAL Software. This activity took place as part of the Siemens Tech Summit 2026 series held at the Bidakara Hotel in Jakarta.
The signing of this cooperation agreement is part of an effort to strengthen collaboration between the academic world and industry, particularly in supporting the development of education, research, and increasing competence in the field of electric power systems and electrical engineering software.
The event was attended by the Deputy Dean for Resources of STEI ITB, Dr.Eng. Ir. Arwindra Rizqiawan, S.T., M.T. From PT Siemens Indonesia – Grid Software, this event was also represented by related ranks in the development of power system software solutions.
Through this collaboration, STEI ITB received support for the use of Siemens' PSS®SINCAL software, which can be used to support academic activities, learning, and competency development for students and lecturers. This software is a power system analysis tool widely used in the planning, simulation, and evaluation of electrical networks.
STEI ITB welcomes this collaboration as a strategic step to expand access to the latest industrial technologies. The collaboration with Siemens is expected to strengthen the electrical engineering education ecosystem in Indonesia and open up greater synergy between universities and industry in addressing the needs of energy transformation and the digitalization of electrical systems.
This collaboration is also in line with STEI ITB's commitment to continue providing higher education that is relevant to technological developments and industrial needs, particularly in preparing graduates who are able to contribute to the advancement of the national electricity sector.
