STEI ITB and NUS Discuss Collaboration Opportunities in Academic Meeting

Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (STEI), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), welcomed a delegation from the Division of Industrial Design, College of Design and Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS), for a Visit and Collaboration Meeting held on Friday (13/2) at the STEI ITB Meeting Room, Labtek VIII, 2nd Floor.

The NUS delegation was led by Prof. Cornelis Joachim Petrus Maria de Bont (Cees de Bont), Head of the Division of Industrial Design, College of Design and Engineering, and was also attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Irmandy Wicaksono from the same division.

The meeting served as a strategic forum to discuss opportunities for academic and research collaboration between the two institutions, particularly at the intersection of engineering, informatics, and industrial design. The discussion took place in a productive atmosphere, focusing on developing partnerships that are adaptive to technological challenges and the evolving dynamics of global industry.

The collaboration between STEI ITB and the Division of Industrial Design at NUS opens opportunities to integrate engineering approaches with design thinking in the development of technology-based innovations. This interdisciplinary synergy is expected to generate joint initiatives, including collaborative research, academic exchange programs, and the development of other strategic programs.

Through this meeting, STEI ITB reaffirmed its commitment to expanding impactful and sustainable international partnerships, while further strengthening its position as an educational and research institution actively engaged in the global network.
