Inauguration of Chindo Business Center’s New Location Marks a Momentum to Strengthen Cooperation with ITB
Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id — The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Institut Teknologi Bandung (STEI ITB), represented by Dr. Phil. Eng. Hari Purnama, S.Si., M.Si., attended the inauguration ceremony of the new location of Chindo Business Center, held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
STEI ITB’s presence at the event reflected its continued efforts to strengthen collaborative networks between higher education institutions, the business sector, and international strategic partners. The inauguration of Chindo Business Center’s new location served as an important momentum to further enhance China–Indonesia cooperation, particularly in the fields of education, technology development, and industrial ecosystem strengthening.
On this occasion, STEI ITB also conveyed the latest progress regarding the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ITB and Chindo Business Center. The MoU document is currently undergoing internal finalization. The signing of the MoU is expected to take place in person with the Rector of Institut Teknologi Bandung at the ITB campus, as a form of commitment to the cooperation being developed.
Through this planned collaboration, STEI ITB hopes to open broader opportunities for student mobility across various levels of education, including doctoral, master’s, undergraduate, vocational education, and industrial training programs. These programs are expected to enrich students’ academic experience while preparing competent, adaptive, and industry-relevant human resources at both national and international levels.
Beyond the field of education, the cooperation with Chindo Business Center is also expected to support technology development and commercialization. Synergy between universities, the business sector, and the government is an important element in encouraging research and innovation outcomes to create tangible benefits for society and support industrial development in Indonesia.
STEI ITB expressed its appreciation for the inauguration of Chindo Business Center’s new location and hopes that the cooperation currently being initiated can soon be realized through the signing of the MoU. This collaboration is expected to become a strategic step in strengthening academic, industrial, and innovation ties between Indonesia and China.
