STEI ITB Participates in the Global Sustainable Development Congress 2026

Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the Bandung Institute of Technology participated in the Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC) 2026 through the presence of the Deputy Dean of Academic Affairs of STEI ITB, Dr. Eng. Ir. Arwindra Rizqiawan, S.T., M.T., at the international forum which took place on June 22–25, 2026 in Jakarta.

The presence of STEI ITB representatives at the event was a follow-up to an invitation extended by PT Siemens Indonesia to the Bandung Institute of Technology. The invitation was given as a token of appreciation for the long-standing collaboration between ITB and Siemens in various academic activities, research, and human resource development.

The Global Sustainable Development Congress is an international forum organized by Times Higher Education and brings together leaders from universities, governments, industry, research institutions, and organizations from various countries. This forum provides a collaborative space to discuss strategic issues related to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As part of the series of activities, Siemens also held an Executive Round Table session entitled “Smart Campuses for the Next Phase of Sustainability,” which brought together university leaders and sustainability experts to share experiences and discuss strategies for developing smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable campuses through the use of digital technology.

STEI ITB's participation in this international forum aligns with the institution's commitment to continuously expand its global collaborative network and contribute to the development of science, technology, and innovation that supports sustainable development. Involvement in forums like the GSDC also serves as an effort to strengthen STEI ITB's position in the increasingly collaborative and solution-oriented global higher education ecosystem for future challenges.
