STEI Promotes System Reliability Awareness Through KNIF 2015
The rapid development of informatics, increasing computing speeds, the availability of increasingly reliable and widely accessible internet networks, and the ever-increasing capacity of repositories have fueled the widespread and ingrained use of information technology in various industrial sectors and in everyday life. The exponential increase in the number of users of various internet-based services naturally demands reliable systems for service delivery.
The National Informatics Conference (KNIF) is a biennial conference held by the Informatics Research Group (KK), School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Bandung Institute of Technology. This conference aims to foster a community of both academics and industry practitioners from across Indonesia who share a passion for informatics, who can gather, share, and discuss efforts to improve system reliability in informatics, particularly in Indonesia.
As the fourth Conference, KNIF 2015 mengangkat Tema “System Reliability in Supporting Service Provision”. Along with the increasing diversity and breadth of computer and internet-based services today, it is hoped that the academic community, researchers and industry will increasingly produce works that encourage increased system reliability (system reliability) .
In the KNIF 2015 event held on October 22 2015, a very interesting panel discussion was held with panelists from the IT industry based on services that are quite popular in Indonesia, namely: Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), Traveloka.com (Perusahaan Ticketing Online), Bukalapak.com (Perusahaan E-commerce populer) AndVeritrans Indonesia. Through this Panel Discussion, it is hoped that collaboration between Academics and Industry Practitioners can be further enhanced in developing IT solutions to support service provision.
