Prof. Kadarsah Resmi Sebagai Rektor ITB Periode 2015-2020
Along with the holding of the open session of the ITB Board of Trustees (MWA) on Tuesday (20/01/15) at the West Hall, Kadarsah Suryadi officially served as the new rector of ITB. The inauguration session of Prof. Kadarsah as the replacement rector of Prof. Akhmaloka was held at 09.00-11.00 WIB. Moh. Nasir as the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Menrisetekdikti) of Indonesia, Betti S. Alisjahbana as Chair of the Board of Trustees, and Chair of the ITB Senate also attended this open session.
The inauguration session began with the singing of the national anthem Indonesia Raya, a moment of silence, the reading of the Decree (SK) of the ITB MWA and the reading of the oath of office by Prof. Kadarsah, followed by the singing of the song Padamu Negeri. The signing of the inauguration minutes was witnessed by Moh. Nasir, Chairman of the MWA and Chairman of the ITB Senate. After that, the handover of office was carried out from Prof. Akhmaloka to Prof. Kadarsah. Kadarsah will replace Akhmaloka by serving as ITB rector for the 2015-2020 period.
Betti revealed in her speech that ITB has experienced improvements in various achievements. Some of these achievements were achieved by ITB during the leadership of Rector Prof. Akhmaloka. "From the final report we received, many successes were achieved by the previous rector, including ITB successfully achieving international accreditation for 13 study programs," Betti said.
ITB's achievements during Prof. Akhamaloka's administration did not stop there, "ITB also succeeded in establishing partnerships with 300 universities in 40 countries," said Betti. In addition, in the field of publication and research, ITB achieved the highest position among other universities in Indonesia. "The Unqualified Opinion (WTP) predicate for 5 consecutive years is also proof that ITB carries out good governance," added Betti.
In her speech, Betti did not forget to congratulate and thank Prof. Akhmaloka for the achievements achieved while serving as ITB rector for the 2010-2014 period. During the new rector's leadership for the next 5 years, Betti hopes that ITB can progress even further, especially in the development of science and technology. "Science and technology are the keys to the success of a modern economy, an advanced society is always balanced with technological education in both the industrial, government, and higher education sectors," said Betti in her speech.
