Strengthening International Collaboration through the Visit of Prof. C. Suheyl Ozveren from Dundee University, UK
Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (STEI), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), welcomed the visit of Prof. C. Suheyl Ozveren from Dundee University, United Kingdom, on Monday (23/2/2026). His visit to STEI ITB formed part of his agenda in Indonesia as a guest of PT PLN and was strategically utilized to further strengthen STEI’s international academic collaborations, particularly in the field of power engineering.
The meeting, held at the STEI ITB Meeting Room, Labtek VIII, 2nd Floor, focused on exploring potential partnerships with STEI ITB. The proposed collaborations are intended to support sandwich programs, double degree schemes, and the International Undergraduate Program (IUP), particularly within the Undergraduate Program in Electrical Power Engineering and the Power Engineering Research Group. The partnership initiatives are planned to be formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The visit was attended by Prof. C. Suheyl Ozveren from Dundee University, UK. Representing STEI ITB were the Vice Dean for Resources, Dr. Eng. Ir. Arwindra Rizqiawan, S.T., M.T., and the Head of the Power Engineering Research Group, Prof. Dr. Ir. Suwarno, M.T. The discussion took place in a constructive atmosphere, reflecting a shared commitment to expanding cross-border academic cooperation.


As a continuation of the visit, a Seminar Series entitled “From Reliability to Survivability: Engineering Renewable-Dominant Power Systems”was held on Wednesday (25/2/2026) at the same venue. The seminar provided a platform for knowledge exchange on the development of renewable-dominant power systems, emphasizing both system reliability and survivability in the context of global energy transition challenges.
Through this series of activities, STEI ITB reaffirms its commitment to expanding international partnerships and strengthening academic and research capacity in power engineering, in alignment with the evolving demands of the global energy landscape.
