STEI ITB Final Project and Thesis Poster Exhibition and Competition

The “Final Project and Thesis Poster Exhibition and Competition” activity aims to publish the research results of undergraduate and postgraduate students from all study programs (prodi) in the STEI environment supervised by lecturers. Through this activity it is hoped that it can enliven the academic atmosphere in the student environment and open other students' insights regarding TA and Thesis topics that suit their interests. The Final Project and Thesis Poster Exhibition and Competition activity on October 25, 2011 was the first exhibition held simultaneously for all study programs, but previously the activity had been promoted by the Informatics and Information Systems and Technology study programs.

The event was opened by the dean of STEI, Prof.Dr. Suwarno This was followed by a seminar on "Leadership Roles for Today’s Engineers in High-Tech Product Development" by Dr. Ronald Gene Ward from the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering Texas A&M Univ. which was attended by poster competition participants, STEI lecturers and invited guests from Industry.

The exhibition, held in the hall of Labtek VIII, 1st floor, was able to attract other visitors to come and see the TA and Thesis posters by STEI students. There were 96 posters on display, but 32 posters from 5 study programs were willing to attend and take part in the poster competition. After going through a judging process with a mechanism of 1 poster being assessed by 2 judges carried out by appointed STEI lecturers and decided that:

  1. The winner from the Electrical Engineering study program, Mohammad Ikhsan (13207130)
  2. The winner from the Electrical Power Engineering study program, Agus Praditya Tampubolon (13207169)
  3. Winner from the Telecommunication Engineering study program, Ivan Pradibta (13207025)
  4. Winner from the Information Systems and Technology study program, Adiska Fardani (13507052)
  5. Winner from the Informatics study program, Elvina Halim (13507082)
  6. and the winner of the favorite poster was Mohammad Anggasta Paramartha (13207113) from the Telecommunication Engineering study program.

Winners of this poster competition will receive a certificate of appreciation and a prize. Hopefully, next year's poster exhibition will attract even more students to participate.
