Open House KK Elektronika: Enabling Technology with Electronics

Some time ago, the Electronics Research Group held an Open House (OH) with the theme "Enabling Technology with Electronics." The event, held on April 24, 2012, featured a public lecture by Prof. Fire Tomohisa Wada, Vice President of IT Strategy at the University of the Ryukyus, Japan. He delivered material on: OFDM Transceivers: Principles and Implementation and Latest DevelopmentsAlso present as a guest speaker at the public lecture was Jeffry BS from PT. Tricada.

Pembicara menjelaskan bahwa OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexingis a data transmission method that is currently popular. In this public lecture, Prof. Wada, as he is familiarly known, explained the principles of OFDM and explained OFDM in WLAN systems. Then, he also explained OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access). In this public lecture, Prof. Wada not only explained the theory, but he also explained the implementation of OFDMA. In his hometown, he has developed products based on OFDM technology, such as WiMAX, XGP transceivers, and LTE analyzers.

In addition to the public lecture, the OH activity held in the Auditorium and Gallery Room of the East Campus Center of ITB, was filled with a discussion forum on "Opportunities and Challenges in the Electronics Profession Field in Strengthening the Competitiveness of the ICT Industry, Consumer Goods, Transportation, and Defense Security”, then there is an exhibition about electronics, and Open Labs including IC Design Laboratory, VLSI – Research Group, Semiconductor Device laboratory, Electronics & Components Laboratory, Advanced Wireless Research Group, RF Research Group, dam IC Processing Research Group.
