Making a Difference in the World of Technology: STEI ITB Holds Guest Lectures and Talent Mapping for Students of Classes 2021, 2023, and TPB 2023
Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (STEI) ITB held a Guest Lecture with the theme “Field Role Computing in the field Sains And Engineering at ITB” which was attended by Informatics Engineering students, Information Technology & Systems class of 2021, 2023, and TPB students of the Jatinangor study program class of 2023. This activity, which took place at the KOICA Building, ITB Jatinangor Campus on December 16, 2023, from 07.45 to 16.00, became an inspiration and insight event for students.
The guest lecture was attended by prominent speakers from various faculties of ITB, including Husna Nugrahapraja, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D. from the School of Life Sciences and Technology (SITH), as well as Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Ir. Lilik Eko Widodo, M.S. from the Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering (FTTM). This guest lecture aims to provide students with an understanding of the role of the mining sector. computing in the development of science and engineering outside the STEI environment, as well as stimulating student interest in applying their skills in systems development software, information systems, artificial intelligence, and other technological artifacts in various fields.
After finishing the Guest Lecture, the activity continued with Talents Mapping prepared by STEI ITB with special support from Lead Pro Engineering and Management Consulting Services. Activity Talents Mapping This is designed to help students “Designing the Future by Knowing Your Abilities and Strengths (Strengths Self-Discovery)”This process, which overall aims to identify individual potential and strengths, is based on the discovery of each participant's unique talents and abilities.
By integrating Guest Lectures and Talents Mapping, STEI ITB is committed to providing a holistic experience to students, supporting them in understanding the important role computing in various disciplines, while helping them recognize and optimize their potential for their career development in the world of Information Technology and Engineering.
