Through EE Day 2015, ITB's Electrical Engineering Department Prepares Its Graduates to Face the ASEAN Market
The Chairman of the 2015 Electrical Engineering Days Committee, Arif Sasongko, said that the theme of Indonesia Engineering Education towards ASEAN Economic Communities is expected to prepare ITB graduates to face the ASEAN market that is already in sight. In this market, our engineers must compete with engineers from neighboring countries. Therefore, it is fitting that students are introduced to a final project model for Electrical Engineering and given the experience of conducting an engineering design project that closely resembles good professional engineering practice." said Arif on the sidelines of the 'EE Day 2015' event at the ITB East Hall Building, Jalan Ganesa, Thursday (4/6/2015).
Aris explained that the series of events related to EE-Days 2015 included a Final Project and Thesis exhibition, an Open House for the ITB Undergraduate and Master's Engineering Study Programs, and an open defense for Final Projects for ITB Undergraduate Electrical Engineering Students.
“In addition, there will be dialogues, discussions, seminars, and general studiums with study program partners from government, industry, and alumni. Demonstrations and showcases of final assignments, theses, and research and development activities within the ITB and STIE ITB Electrical Engineering Study Programs will also be held." he said. Arif admitted that the final project topics exhibited at EE-Days 2015 were very diverse, ranging from IC design, robotics, industrial electronics, defense, health electronics, education, mining, transportation, and others.
“Yes, so some of these topics come from government and industry. With so many industry topics, it's hoped this final project will be more relevant to the real world of engineering.” akunya.
