Institut Teknologi Bandung Earns the First Advanced IASC Title in the Asia-Pacific Region

Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) has officially been recognized as the first Huawei Advanced ICT Academy Support Center (IASC) in the Asia-Pacific region. This prestigious recognition was awarded at the Huawei IASC Roundtable event, which was part of Huawei Connect 2025 held in Shanghai, China, on September 20, 2025. The event was attended by more than 30 delegates from 11 IASCs across nine countries, representatives from UNESCO, and Huawei’s global leadership. . . . . . .

This achievement was made possible through close collaboration among instructors, administrative personnel, support staff, and the full support of the leadership of the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (SEEI) ITB. This collaboration has successfully built a robust ICT Academy ecosystem in Indonesia, earning international recognition. . .

Huawei Advanced IASC represents the highest tier of the ICT Academy Support Center. With this status, ITB now serves as a regional hub for Asia-Pacific, facilitating coordination, instructor development, student capacity building, and strengthening cross-country inter-university partnership networks. ..

This award was granted to ITB after it was assessed as the best-performing IASC in the Asia-Pacific region. Over the past several years, ITB has successfully developed an extensive ICT Academy network, trained hundreds of lecturers, conducted hundreds of classes, and engaged tens of thousands of students in various programs. This rapid growth positions ITB as a leading institution in driving digital talent development in the region. . . .

Since 2023, ITB has consistently organized various capacity-building programs, ranging from bootcamps and Huawei ICT Competition workshops, to Train the Trainer (TTT) programs for instructors from partner universities, as well as the localization of Huawei materials such as Datacom, Cloud, and AI into the Indonesian language. In addition, ITB has maintained close collaboration with partner universities throughout Indonesia. This strong track record has led Huawei to place its trust in ITB to lead the ICT Academy Support Center ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific region. . And .. . . . .
