Fajrin Rasyid (IF ’04) Diangkat Jadi Presiden Bukalapak

KOMPAS.com - Bukalapak officially appointed Fajrin Rasyid as its President on Monday (June 25, 2018). This was done to strive to grow into a technology company that also empowers the SME economy.

Fajrin Rasyid is a familiar name in the Indonesian e-commerce industry. Prior to serving as President of Bukalapak, Fajrin served as Chief Financial Officer for seven years, responsible for the company's finances. In 2016, Fajrin was named CFO of the Year by SWA Magazine. Fajrin is also a co-founder of Bukalapak.

This man, born in Jakarta 32 years ago, is a graduate Undergraduate Informatics Study ProgramBandung Institute of Technology (ITB) with a GPA of 4.0 and Summa Cum Laude. Prior to joining Bukalapak, Fajrin worked as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Fajrin also actively participates in various international forums and was selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur in 2016.

Fajrin had the opportunity to share his experiences as a speaker at Endeavor Scale-Up Asia 2018. "I am grateful for all the achievements I have achieved so far. However, for me, being a person who benefits many people is more valuable than those achievements," said Fajrin.

Fajrin is currently a candidate for Chairman of IDEA (Indonesia E-Commerce Association). His experience at a leading business and e-commerce consulting firm in Indonesia has made him optimistic about his ambitious dream of making Indonesia a global e-commerce hub.

Making e-commerce an accelerator of economic growth in Indonesia is one of the missions that Fajrin will carry if he is elected as the General Chair of IDEA.
