SEEI ITB–Toyota Collaboration Presents Industrial Class on Automotive Digital Transformation
Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (SEEI) ITB, in collaboration with Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN), held an Industrial Class (Expert Sharing) themed around digital innovation in the automotive sector. The event took place on Wednesday, 10 December 2025, at the ITB West Hall, attended by students from ITB as well as participants from BINUS University, Telkom University, and Bandung Manufacturing Polytechnic. . .
The event featured speakers from Toyota, including Yandri Pardomuan, Director of Product Business Management; Dr. Indra Chandra S., GM of the Engineering Management Division; and Bayu Prihatmoko, DGM of the Information System Technology Division. From SEEI ITB, Dr. Tech. Wikan Danar Sunindyo, S.T., M.Sc. served as the moderator, while Dr. Maya Nabila, S.Si., M.Si. attended as the institutional representative. Through this expert sharing session, participants gained insights into vehicle software development, mobility apps & AI, digital transformation, and various career opportunities in the modern automotive industry. expert sharing .


In addition to the presentation sessions, Toyota also held a mini exhibition that allowed participants to directly try various digital automotive research platforms. These included a Microcontroller station that provided hands-on experience in programming and sensor integration using Arduino; an AI Camera that demonstrated real-time traffic sign recognition through computer vision technology; a Multimedia System that showcased sensor value changes and vehicle multimedia display customization; a Meter Combi Display that visualized sensor data variations and display adjustments; and an Autonomous Vehicle Simulation using the CARLA Simulator to understand autonomous vehicle control mechanisms, from environment perception to steering, throttle, and braking control.
Participants also had the opportunity to join a coaching clinic, receive information about internship opportunities at TMMIN, and gain access to various scholarship programs. Through this event, SEEI ITB and Toyota hope to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry while fostering the development of future talent in digital automotive technology.
