SEEI ITB Students Rank in the National Top 3 at Pertamuda Seed & Scale 2025 with the Innovation “Cargovision”

Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – Four students from the Information Systems and Technology Study Program, School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (SEEI) ITB, achieved an outstanding accomplishment by securing a position in the National Top 3 at Pertamuda Seed & Scale 2025. Through their innovative idea titled “Cargovision,” they introduced an AI-based solution aimed at improving efficiency and transparency in cargo inspection processes at seaports. .. Artificial Intelligence .

The Cargovision team consists of Aththariq Lisan Q. D. S., Alessandro Jusack Hasian, Muhammad Faiz Atharrahman, and Eleanor Cordelia, all students of the Information Systems and Technology Program at SEEI ITB.

Cargovision was developed as an AI-powered cargo inspection platform capable of analyzing X-ray, 3D, and visual camera images to detect physical damage, leakage, or anomalies in cargo. The system can also generate real-time compliance reports, replacing conventional manual inspection processes that are typically time-consuming. With this technology, port inspection workflows can be carried out more quickly, accurately, and transparently.

The idea emerged from the team’s experience participating in the UI Incubate Hackathon, where they collaborated with PT Pelindo, an industry partner facing challenges in manual port inspections. From this experience, they realized that digitalizing inspection processes is not merely a technical need but also significantly impacts safety, efficiency, and fairness across the national supply chain.

“Our motivation is to show that technological innovations developed by students can provide real solutions to industry problems,” the Cargovision team explained. They also emphasized that the project aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in supporting energy efficiency, reducing human error, and increasing logistics transparency in Indonesia. ..

Preparation for Pertamuda Seed & Scale 2025 began in August 2025, covering document selection, online pitching, followed by national bootcamp and mentoring sessions. The team received training on Market Research & Strategic Alignment, Finance & Pricing, and How to Pitch & Storytelling. After completing all stages, they advanced to the final round and presented their idea on 28 October 2025 at Hotel Alana, Yogyakarta, alongside finalists from universities across Indonesia. ., .. ..

Securing a National Top 3 position stands as a testament to the dedication and consistency of SEEI ITB students in developing technological innovations in the logistics sector. Moving forward, the Cargovision team plans to leverage the Pertamina incubation phase to deepen their technological research, refine their business model, and expand industry collaborations.

They also aim to introduce Cargovision to the global stage by participating in an international startup exhibition in Finland, hoping that this innovation by Indonesian students will gain wider global recognition and competitiveness.
