Dirjen Dikti Buka KRI – KRCI 2012
The KRI-KRCI robot contest was officially opened on Saturday (30/06/12) at Sasana Budaya Ganesha, Bandung. This year, ITB had the opportunity to hold this national-scale robot contest after last year's event at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. The event was opened by the Director General of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Ir. Djoko Santoso, M.Sc. The KRI-KRCI was attended by a total of 94 teams from 50 universities competing in 4 categories, namely KRI, KRCI firefighting, KRCI RSHL, and KRSI.
The KRI-KRCI preliminary round began early this morning at 7:00 a.m. WIB. The preliminary round was held for the KRI and KRCI RSHL categories, and was also held trial for the wheeled and legged KRCI category. The opening ceremony itself took place at 10:00 a.m. WIB.
The official opening of the 2012 KRI-KRCI was marked by the striking of a gong by the Director General of Higher Education. "What we are doing today is a small part of technological development for Indonesia," Djoko added.
After the speech and opening, the KRI-KRCI rotating trophy was handed over to last year's overall champion as well as a robot dance performance by the ITB Robotics Unit. In this performance, there were three robots dancing to the music being played.
Sekilas KRI-KRCI 2012
KRI-KRCI 2012 which was held in Sabuga on June 30 - July 1, 2012 consisted of four categories, namely KRI, KRCI firefighting, KRCI robosoccer humanoid and KRSI. KRCI firefighting The competition itself is further divided into two divisions: legged and wheeled. Winners of each category, except for the KRSI category, will have the opportunity to participate in an international competition funded by DIKTI.
The competition was divided into two days, with the first day being the preliminary round and group stage. The second day was the knockout round and final, which also included the announcement of the winners and the closing ceremony. In addition to the robot competition, this year's KRI-KRCI also featured a technology exhibition, entertainment stage, and culinary zone.
