STEI ITB Team Collaborates with ITENAS to Win Top 5 at Bangkit Academy 2024, Ready to Develop BinaBola App in Incubation Program

Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – A team of students from the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (STEI) Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), in collaboration with students from the Bandung National Institute of Technology (ITENAS), succeeded in achieving brilliant achievements by entering the Top 5 Capstone Projects in the Bangkit Academy Entrepreneur Track 2024. This team, which consists of Rahman Satya (18221117), Riandra Diva Auzan (18221077). Attariq Muhammad Azhar (18221043) from STEI ITB, as well as Rifqi Lukmansyah, Muhammad Hafidz Fadillah, Farhan Al Farisi, and Qays Arkan Chairy from ITENAS, developed the BinaBola application which is designed to support soccer development for young players throughout Indonesia.

This success propelled the BinaBola team to the next stage as recipients of the Bangkit Incubation Program, which grants them up to IDR 140 million in funding from Google and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. With this funding, they are committed to further developing the BinaBola app, which integrates advanced technologies such as AI for pose analysis and personalized training plans.

Bangkit Academy 2024, part of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) program (MBKM), offers three main learning tracks: Machine Learning, Mobile Development, and Cloud Computing. This year, for the first time, the Entrepreneur Track is being introduced, specifically designed for participants who wish to advance their projects to the incubation stage.

Developed through in-depth research and close collaboration between team members, BinaBola is designed as a comprehensive solution for youth soccer player management. With innovative features such as a personalized training plan, interactive exercises, a running tracker, and AI Food, the app is expected to help coaches, clubs, and soccer academies effectively monitor and develop players' abilities.

The STEI ITB team acknowledged that achieving this achievement was a valuable experience and motivated them to continue innovating in technology to solve real-world problems in Indonesia. Support from Bangkit, Google, and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology provides additional encouragement for the BinaBola team to take this project to the next level and reach more users across Indonesia.

This achievement is also expected to inspire other students to dare to dream big and take concrete steps in realizing innovative ideas that can make a meaningful contribution to society and the future of Indonesia.
