Comparative Study of Surabaya Engineering College – STEI

Taking place in the STEI Labtek 8 Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, on Thursday, July 21, 2011, STEI welcomed lecturers from the Informatics Engineering and Information Systems undergraduate program from the Surabaya Technical College (STTS). The visit, consisting of 19 STTS lecturers, was received by WDA STEI Dwi Hendratmo PhD.

The 2-hour meeting began with a presentation from the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of STEI, covering the history of STEI's formation, the study programs available at STEI, and the educational system and facilities that support these educational activities. The event, which was also attended by the Head of the Information Systems and Technology (STI) study program, Husni Sastramihardja, and a representative from the Informatics (IF) study program, Saiful Akbar, was followed by a discussion on academic matters related to undergraduate education in the STI and IF study programs.

The next agenda continued with a visit to several infrastructure/facilities owned by STEI to support student learning activities, especially for the STI and IF study programs, namely the Basic Informatics Laboratory and the Informatics library, both of which are located in the Benny Subianto Building (Labtek 5). With the series of agendas above, it is hoped that it can broaden the insights of STTS lecturers in developing the Informatics Engineering and Information Systems study programs at the College.
