STEI Represents ITB at Ritech Expo 2016
On August 10-13 2016, STEI representing ITB held several innovative works at the Ritech Expo 2016 event as part of a series of activities.
The 21st National Technology Awakening Day (HAKTEKNAS) was centered at the Manahan Stadium in Solo.
The commemoration of the HAKTEKNAS activity which fell on August 10, 2016 was special because for the first time it was centered in an area famous for its batik crafts, namely Solo, Central Java. In 2016 Hakteknas carried the theme "Innovation for Independence and National Competitiveness", this celebration departed from the idea of Innovation with the principle of Better, Cheaper, and Faster, without forgetting the quality and uniqueness of resources developed with a touch of science and technology.
Accompanied by gamelan and traditional Solo songs, the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Mensristekdikti) Mohamad Nasir and the 3rd President of the Republic of Indonesia, the Father of National Technology, BJ Habibie entered the Peak event of the 2016 National Technology Day Celebration. The cultural atmosphere of Solo was increasingly thick when the Garuda Nusantara dance and traditional poetry were performed. Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) Puan Maharani on this occasion was present representing the President of the Republic of Indonesia Jokowi and Working Cabinet Ministers such as Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Kumolo, Minister of Health Nila Moeloek, Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto, Deputy Governor of Central Java Heru Sudjatmoko, leaders of political parties, leaders and members of the DPR, Ambassadors of friendly countries, Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Surakarta, invited guests and winners of the 2016 Science and Technology awards also attended this celebration (10/08).
On this occasion, STEI presented 3 superior technologies, namely:
- NIVA (Non-Invasive Vascular Analyzer): Perangkat Deteksi Dini Penyakit Vaskuler
- konsol radar cuaca
- GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) : perangkat deteksi benda dibalik permukaan (dinding, tanah, dll)
Visitors to the ITB booth appeared enthusiastic about trying out demonstrations of the various tools, and some were interested in further discussions about the use of these tools.
According to Nada Marsudi, the Chairperson of the Ritech Expo 2016 Exhibition Organizer, this year's Ritech Expo is the largest Ritech Expo in the last 21 years. The Ritech Expo 2016 was attended by 90 institutions consisting of 31 Universities and Polytechnics, 6 LPNKs, 11 Ministry Research and Development Agencies, 12 Regional Research and Development Agencies, 11 industries, and 19 flagship programs and work units of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. The Ritech Expo 2016 featured 155 booths consisting of 140 indoor booths and 15 outdoor booths. In addition, Nada Marsudi reported that during its 4-day event, the Ritech Expo 2016 was able to attract the enthusiasm of the people of Surakarta City and its surroundings. This was seen from the number of visitors to the Ritech Expo 2016 which reached 17,000 people.
