Business-IT Case ITFest itself is a national-scale case-solving competition organized by the Information Technology Study Program of the University of North Sumatra. Business-IT Case ITFest 2018 is aimed at undergraduate and diploma students. Business-IT Case provides an opportunity for Indonesian students to solve various business cases by providing solutions through an Information Technology approach. Participants are expected to have excellent problem-solving skills where these abilities will be tested in the Business-IT Case competition.
Previously, participants first participated in two preliminary rounds conducted remotely. Participants worked on problems within a time limit and also answered analytical questions in the form of an Executive Summary, a detailed summary of a business idea as a solution to a case study. Teams advancing to the next preliminary round had to create a business plan for their product. Finally, teams that advanced to the final round had to present their idea at the main event, USU North Sumatra, on March 10-11.
