STEI Champion Again…!
When talking about competitions, competitions and the like, it is certainly not far from the word Champion or Winner where it can be a benchmark of a thought and hard work. That is what the students of – students of STEI ITB did. From the thoughts of – new thoughts and hard work, it resulted in results and achievements that make the Faculty/School proud, proud of the students and of course the teaching staff proud.
Throughout 2011 STEI has succeeded in winning many Champion titles from International and National events/competitions, for example Robot competition Champion in Connecticut, etc. And this time in the middle of the year, Informatics students succeeded in winning the Champion title again in the final round of the National event, namely CompFest2011 which was held in Jakarta 24 – 26 June 2011, not only that, – was successful in winning 1st place in several categories, namely
- Game Design Competition category, represented by the Org.Com Softwork Team with its members Muhammad Hilman Beyri (IF 09), Alfian Ramadhan (IF 09), Prisyafandiafif Charifa (IF 09), and Bharata Kalbuaji (STI 09) with their work “Gundu Tubruk!”. Gundu tubruk is an arcade game played by several players with a turn-based player. Players can hit their marbles when their turn comes. The game ends when all opponents lose. This game can be played repeatedly and by different players. Players will get additional marbles if they win a game. The victory will be recorded. Marbles with different and varied patterns will be obtained when players can reach a certain number of wins. Interested in watching the video here.
- The Programming Competition category was won by the Dongskar Pedongi – RevolutiO(N) Team with its members Gregorius Ronny Kaluge (IF 08), Christianto Handojo (IF 10), and Abdurrosyid Broto Handoyo (IF 10). In this category, each team is required to solve several problems within a certain time limit using a specified programming language.
These two teams have joined the long list of outstanding students from the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). Congratulations to the winners, and we hope this inspires students to seek new innovations.
