STEI ITB Send 2 Teams to the Final of LSI Design Contest, University of the Ryukyus-Japan

The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (STEI) ITB will again send 2 representatives to the final. 18th LSI Design Contest 2015The annual chip design contest was hosted by the University of the Ryukyus, Japan, and attracted over 100 participants representing universities across Asia. This year's challenge was how to design hardware for calculating trigonometric functions. The following teams represented STEI ITB:

1. EtherSound Ganeca Team (Bagus Hanindhito, Hafez Hogantara, Annisa Istiqomah Arrahmah), with the title "Ultrasonic Sensor Based Contactless Theremin Using Pipeline CORDIC as Tone Generator in FPGA"
2. Sangkuriang Team (Antonius Perdana Renardy, Ashbir Aviat Fadila, Naufal Shidqi), with the title "Design and Implementation of CORDIC Algorithm in All-Digital FM Modulator-Demodulator"

The final presentation of the LSI Design Contest will be held at the University of the Ryukyus, Okinawa, Japan on March 13, 2015. It is hoped that both teams will be champions like in previous years.
