SEEI ITB Enlivens ITB’s 66th Anniversary through the Spirit of Sportsmanship on the Volleyball Court
Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id — In the spirit of commemorating the 66th Anniversary of Institut Teknologi Bandung, the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (SEEI) ITB actively participated in a series of activities that not only emphasized intellectual excellence, but also strengthened togetherness among the academic community. One of the highlighted agendas was the inter-faculty volleyball tournament, which was successfully held from 19–25 June 2025 as a platform for healthy competition and strong sportsmanship. ..
The SEEI ITB volleyball team competed with enthusiasm and thorough preparation. Physical training and game strategies had been prepared well in advance to face the competitive matches among units within ITB. In an interview with one of the team members, it was revealed that their regular training focused not only on technical skills, but also on team cohesion, emotional control, and self-confidence in dealing with the competitive atmosphere.
The matches took place in an energetic and cheerful atmosphere. Amid the rapidly changing dynamics of the game, the SEEI ITB team maintained focus and consistently strived to perform at their best. The greatest challenge faced by the players was maintaining performance consistency throughout the matches. Nevertheless, support from fellow faculty members became an additional and meaningful source of motivation on the court.
Several unforgettable moments also colored the competition—ranging from spontaneous celebrations after scoring points to humorous incidents that helped ease tension. Such moments served as a reminder that competition is not solely about winning, but also about togetherness, shared experiences, and the spirit of building a community.
SEEI ITB’s participation in this sporting event further reaffirmed that the Dies Natalis celebration is not merely an annual ceremony, but also a space to strengthen the values of togetherness, sportsmanship, and collaboration that form an important foundation in building a healthy and dynamic academic environment.
With the spirit of “ITB Unggul dan Berdampak”, SEEI ITB continues to demonstrate its commitment to engaging in activities that bring institutional values to life—whether through academic innovation, environmental conservation, or togetherness through sports activities.
