STEI ITB and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay Explore Collaboration in Electrical Engineering and Informatics

Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (STEI) of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) received a special visit from India Institute of Technology Bombay to explore the potential for close collaboration between these two leading educational institutions. The visit, which took place on Tuesday, September 13, 2023, aimed to explore potential collaboration in the fields of electrical engineering and informatics.

During the visit, Professor Chaudhuri, who is from the Department of Electrical Engineering India Institute of Technology Bombay, and Professor Sudarshan, representing the Department of Computer Engineering, were present to establish a collaborative relationship with STEI ITB. They were warmly welcomed by STEI ITB academics and staff.

Mrs. Rachmawati, who serves as Liaison Officer from STEI ITB, gave a welcome to the guests from India. He expressed his hope that the collaboration between STEI ITB and India Institute of Technology Bombay can enrich the academic and research experiences of both institutions.

The visit included a tour of several leading laboratories at STEI ITB. The Indian delegates had the opportunity to experience firsthand the state-of-the-art facilities and technology at STEI ITB. A highlight was the visit to the Radio and Microwave Telecommunications Laboratory, a leading research center in its field.

In addition, the delegation also visited the Energy Conversion Research Laboratory in the Conversion Building, where they could see the latest innovations in environmentally friendly energy conversion. A visit to the Metaverse Laboratory was also a highlight of the tour, allowing delegates to explore the world of energy conversion. metaverse which is increasingly developing with advanced technology.

      This visit is expected to be the beginning of a close partnership between STEI ITB and India Institute of Technology Bombay in a joint effort to enhance understanding and knowledge in electrical engineering and informatics. With the synergy between these two institutions, it is hoped that collaborations will emerge that will have a positive impact on academia, research, and industry in both countries.
