In her remarks, Prof. Reini stated that ITB embodies the collective unity of all intellectuals, deeply dedicated to advancing science, technology, the arts, and the social and humanities through the Tridharma (Three Pillars of Education) activities. Throughout its history, ITB has contributed to the development of numerous leaders in various areas of national and state life.
As a campus, he continued, ITB is a comfortable and conducive place for various intellectual and cultural activities, with an academic atmosphere that is open to the exchange of ideas and experiences, critical and visionary thinking, accompanied by an attitude that upholds academic freedom in scientific and cultural diversity.
"I am entrusted with the mandate of being the Rector of ITB for the next five years. To carry out this mandate effectively, the Rector and all ITB leadership must act with a thorough understanding of the campus's culture and traditions," said Prof. Reini.
As an organization, ITB, according to Prof. Reini, must always be a learning organization and be adaptive. After a hundred years of brilliant contributions, now is the time for ITB to start anew, building strength to meet the challenges of change, and developing a transformation strategy for the next 100 years.
"As I have previously stated, in line with the ITB Development Master Plan 2020-2025 to realize 'a Globally Respected and Locally Relevant University', the ITB Leadership has formulated a Strategy to Achieve ITB's Vision 2025," he said.
Prof. Reini stated that a monitoring and evaluation system is also needed to measure progress, to facilitate learning and continuous improvement at ITB. All efforts at change or transformation will not be meaningfully successful without strong, effective resilience and collaboration.
"All ITB leadership, especially the Chancellor and Vice Chancellors, will always maintain a shared understanding of the vision, goals, and transformation strategies across all organizational elements and stakeholders," he said.
