Signing of MoU between ITB, Cimahi City Government and PT. Medco Power Indonesia
Taking place at the PLN STEI ITB Cooperation Building, Bandung Institute of Technology, Cimahi City Government, and PT Medco Power Indonesia, a cooperation agreement (MoU) was signed for waste management into energy on Thursday, February 24, 2011.
The Cimahi City Government, represented by Mayor Itoc Tochija, stated that the collaboration will build a power plant using waste-based fuel. Initially, ITB and PT Medco Power will conduct a survey and study on waste-to-energy management in Cimahi City.
The waste-to-energy project carried out by the Cimahi City Government, ITB and PT Medco Power can be realized in 2012.
The signing of the MoU by Dr. Wawan Gunawan A. Kadir, MS – Vice Rector for Research and Innovation; Itoc Tochija – Mayor of Cimahi; Mr. Arifin Panigoro – PT. Medco Power, is part of a series of events for the Seminar “ITB Called, the Future of Indonesian Electricity” which is planned to be held in May 2011.
