Signing of Cooperation Agreement with Hiroshima University

Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at the Meeting Room of the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, ITB, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Research Institute for Nanodevice and Biosystem (RINB) of Hisroshima University, Japan, with the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Bandung Institute of Technology.

The signing ceremony, held on the second floor of the Achmad Bakrie Building, focused on academics and educational exchange programs. Present at the event were the Dean of STEI, the Dean of FMIPA, the Director of the ITB International Office, and a representative from RINB, Prof. T. Kikkawa.

In the cooperation agreement between RINB and STEI, both institutions agree to promote exchange programs in the fields of semiconductor physics, nanodevices, nanomaterials, bioelectronics, semiconductor-biosensors, silicon photonics, medical electronics, information technology, circuits and systems, integrated circuits, etc. In addition, the exchange program also includes the exchange of lecturers to conduct research, and the exchange of undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The signing, which was attended by lecturers and students from STEI and FMIPA ITB, is expected to further strengthen the relationship between ITB and Hiroshima University.
