SEEI ITB Students Achieve Recognition at the Global Business Case Competition TEC Festival V
Bandung, stei.itb.ac.id – Two students from the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (SEEI) ITB once again achieved outstanding results at the Global Business Case Competition TEC Festival V, held at Institut Teknologi Bandung. The competition challenged participants to propose innovative solutions to real-world business problems faced by companies, including AIZEN Mobility, a fintech platform specializing in electric vehicle financing. . . . . . .
A joint team consisting of SEEI ITB students Rayhan Hidayatul F. and Allodya Qonnita Arofa, along with M. Abdillah Alfera from the School of Business and Management (SBM) ITB, won 2nd place with their idea titled “Empowering Informal Workers and SMEs Through Inclusive Electric Mobility.” The concept focused on empowering informal workers and MSMEs through inclusive financing for electric vehicles. . .

The team’s primary motivation was to create impactful innovation that strengthens financial inclusion in Indonesia. Based on their research, only about 13% of MSMEs in Indonesia have access to formal financing, while the majority of informal workers remain outside the reach of financial services and sustainability initiatives. Seeing this gap, the team developed a financing strategy that targets unbanked and underserved segments while reinforcing the national green mobility ecosystem. . . ..
Competition preparation began in late July, with the final presentation held on 26 July 2025 at Labtek III ITB, followed by the awarding ceremony at Hotel Tebu Bandung. Through cross-disciplinary collaboration between technology and business, the team successfully crafted a solution that integrates analytical approaches, sustainability, and social impact. Following their achievement, they hope the idea will be further developed by AIZEN Mobility to address business challenges and expand financial inclusion for MSMEs and informal workers across Indonesia.
