Fortei VII Workshop, PSeemRG and Department of Electrical Engineering, Brawijaya University

On Saturday, November 18, 2017, at the Faculty of Engineering, Brawijaya University, a workshop was held with the theme of Developing Lecture Content on Machines and Power Electronics to Support the Development of New and Renewable Energy in Indonesia.

At this event, also present Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuarsyah Haroen, Professor of STEI-ITB. He delivered material on Electrical Machine Dynamics, Power Electronics 1 and 2, and Electric Transportation.

Fortei is a communication forum for Indonesian Electrical Engineering Higher Education, for Undergraduate (Bachelor's), Master's (Master's), Doctoral (Doctoral) and Diploma (Vocational)/Polytechnic programs. This forum's members are Indonesian Universities that have Electrical Engineering and Informatics Study Programs. FORTEI was founded in Bali in 2005 by 6 Heads of Electrical Engineering Departments: ITB (Dr. Isnuwardianto, STEI ITB), UI (Dr. Rudy Setyabudi), UNDIP (Ir. Sudjadi, MT), UGM (Dr. Tumiran), ITS (Dr. M. Ashari), and Udayana University (Dr. Ida Ayu Giriantari), with the initiator Dr. Isnuwardianto.

FORTEI's main activities include:

1. Aligning higher education in Electrical Engineering throughout Indonesia encompasses the fields of education, research, and technology application.
2. Discussing national topics related to Electrical Engineering science, concluding, providing input and solutions to the government and stakeholders.
3. As a reference institution for higher education in Electrical Engineering.
4. Improving cooperation and ties between institutions, officials of study programs/departments/departments, and researchers in the field of Electrical Engineering.

This workshop was attended by 22 universities in Kopertis Region VII and other universities in Indonesia, including; Brawijaya University, National Institute of Technology, Malang State Polytechnic, Malang Islamic University, Muhammadiyah University of Malang, Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya, PGRI Adibuana University, Malang State University, Army Polytechnic, Adhi Tama Institute of Technology, Bhayangkara University, Hang Tuah University, Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo, Jember University, Darul Ulum University, Sultan Agung Tirtayasa University, Trunojoyo University of Madura, Diponegoro University, National Institute of Science and Technology, Pakuan University Bogor, Bengkulu University, Nusa Cendana University, Ambon State Polytechnic, Florida Institute of Technology.
