Leo J. Susilo Public Lecture

The Information Technology Research Group – STEI ITB, on Friday, August 19, 2011, held a Public Lecture with the theme “Challenges in Implementing ISO 31000: Risk Management – Principles and Guidelines”. Present as speakers at the public lecture held in TVST Room B, 2nd floor, were Leo J. Susilo – Senior Partner – PT. Wisma Inti Manajemen Principal – Center for Risk Management Studies Indonesia (CRMS Indonesia).

Leo J. Susilo, an alumnus of Electrical Engineering – 68, explained about risk management, including that according to ISO Guide 73:2009, risk is the impact of uncertainty on an objective. Then he also explained the definition of risk management, namely coordinated activities to direct and control an organization related to risk. The risk management framework is formed from several components that provide the foundation and organizational rules for designing, implementing, monitoring, reviewing, and continuously improving risk management throughout the organization.
