PUBLIC LECTURE – IMPLEMENTATION OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY IN MINING INDUSTRY TO ENHANCE OPERATIONAL AND SUSTAINABILITY

On September 9, 2022, LPIK, STEI, and FTTM collaborated with PT Petrosesa to hold a public lecture entitled "Implementation of Digital Technology in Mining Industry to Enhance Operational and Sustainability." Held in Room 9009 LFM, the lecture was opened by the Dean of STEI, Dr. Tutun Juhana, ST, MT, and attended by 120 students from the Mining Engineering Study Program and STEI. In addition to students, PT Petrosea, represented by Iwan Susanto (GM Petrosea Academy) and the team, was also present. This public lecture featured Rahmadi Ernawan (GM Project Origination & Developer PT Petrosea, Tbk) and Cory Manurung (Manager Business Development & Marketing PT Petrosea, Tbk) as speakers.

The Dean of STEI opened a Public Lecture on Implementation of Digital Technology in the Mining Industry,

Cory Manurung began the public lecture with an introduction to Petrosea and its business lines, which include Contract Mining, Engineering, Procurement & Construction, Logistics, and Support for Oil & Gas Services. He also outlined Petrosea's 3D strategy, which stands for Diversification, Digitalization, & Decarbonization, as the main pillars for continuously developing the company's value to clients, investors, and stakeholders.

Rahmadi Ernawan continued the public lecture, explaining the implementation of digital technology in the mining industry. He explained that the mining industry is currently in the early stages of the digital revolution. Therefore, in line with Petrosea's 3D strategy, implementing digital technology is a way to survive in the mining industry, compete with other competitors, and prove its unique value.

Technology Revolution by Industry

In this lecture, Rahmadi introduced one of the technologies they implemented, MINERVA (Mining Engineering and Construction Advance Analytics), as a strategic step in digital transformation across all mining operations to accelerate Petrosea's transformation and ensure sustainable performance in the future. MINERVA encompasses Mining Operations, Fleet Management System, Mine Planning, Performance Management, Change Management, and Asset Management.

The lecture concluded with a group photo and a question-and-answer session with the participants. Public lectures introducing students to the industry continue to be developed, featuring speakers from other industries and involving students from various study programs.
