Collaboration between STEI ITB and the Indonesian House of Representatives in the FGD on the Direction of One Data Regulation in Indonesia
Bandung, January 19, 2024 – The School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the Bandung Institute of Technology (STEI ITB) in collaboration with the Household Affairs Agency of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) successfully held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) entitled "Direction of One Data Indonesia Regulation in Law"This event took place at the Multipurpose Hall of the CRCS Building, ITB Ganesha Campus, Bandung.
This FGD was opened with a warm welcome from ., Dean of STEI ITB, who attended in person. Dr. Inosentius Samsul, Head of the Expertise Agency of the Indonesian House of Representatives, also delivered remarks online. The event was further enhanced by the presence of H. Agung Budi Santoso, who delivered a keynote speech explaining the importance of national data integration.
Four competent speakers participated in the discussion. They were Apriyani Dewi Azis, SH, Young Expert Perpu Designer, who discussed the Main Principles of SDI Regulations; Ir. Windy Gambetta, M.BA., an academic from STEI ITB, who raised the issue of Human Resources and Support Systems; Yudi Purbosari, S.ST, MT, Head of IPDS BPS West Java Province, who focused on Statistical Data Governance; and Dr.-Ing Khafid from the Geospatial Information Agency, who discussed the importance of geospatial data integration in Indonesia's one data system.
This FGD provides an important platform to discuss the challenges and solutions related to Indonesia's single data system, which is currently a hot topic across various sectors. The discussion is expected to generate practical and applicable policy recommendations, supporting the government's efforts to achieve better and more integrated data governance.
This activity marks a significant step in collaboration between educational institutions and legislative bodies, strengthening synergy in improving the quality of public policy, particularly in the area of data management. The active participation of various parties demonstrates a shared commitment to advancing the single data system in Indonesia, which is expected to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of public services.
